Weekly Photo Challenge: Gone But Not Forgotten II

After 10 days on MSC Poesia we had to say goodbye to our honeymoon. We saw the MSC POESIA leaving from the same port that we happily got on board 10 days ago, now it will fulfill the dreams of other passengers.

Certainly gone for us, but it will never be forgotten. Every year for our anniversary we will remember this vacation that marked a moment in our lives. We will remember that on MSC POESIA we started a life committed to each other.

From the window or our hotel…

We got to our hotel just in time, after a whole day exploring Genoa. From our window we say goodbye and thank God for a great honeymoon. Gone…But Never Forgotten.

Until then, 🙂

Traveling Through Genoa’s Streets Video

One of the places that got me hypnotize with its charm was Genoa. I wanted to go to Portofino better that was 30 minutes away, but because of lack of time and preparation we decided to stay at Genoa by the port. For my surprise I loved it, still we didn’t have enough time to really enjoy it to the fullest.

I will be writing later on about our experience over there. In the mean time I can share with you a video that I took while riding one of this Sightseeing Buses. I love to see the people walking, the scooters, the buildings. I love to watch local people in their own business while we are in awe with the city, because everything is new to us. I love to see the movement of the city while for me everything goes a little slower because I want to absorb as much details as I can. Videos are great for capturing that moment because later on you can re-played as much as you can and know that you were there, watching with your own eyes all the action.

Do you like to record little videos of the places that you visit?

Until then,

Leaving Genoa

Once on board we enjoyed a welcome lunch and a little after that we were exploring our flouting city. At 4:15 we did our safety drill. Is incredible how always we found a stupid drunk person making a fool of himself during an important safety procedure. (Oh Well, maybe not always… But we can find all kind of people in important situations making fool of themselves :/ )

We left Genoa around 5pm. We joined a large group of people on deck 13 to say goodbye to the Italian port.

Look my hair!

Our first night was great! We enjoyed so much the evening show. It’s incredible how the show director introduce the show and talked to the public in five different languages. One of the things that has been most impressive for us is how almost all the crew knows at least three languages.

Dinner was really good and different, we were begging to have a table for two and we got it. Our waiter was really nice, she is from Bulgaria and I forgot her name… I will learned it today, I have to, we will be seen her for the next 10 days. 🙂

I’ve Been Busy ;)

What a great day we had! Now two days later as I write this, we are just leaving Atlanta on our way to Paris. From there, we will take another airplane to Genoa Italy.

Our adventure started 2 1/2 years ago when we started dating and since then our story got better and better. For now let’s see what the Mediterranean has for us in the next two weeks.

I will keep you post it!

Until then,
