Zia’s Greenhouse: A New Journey

If you had “traveled” my stories, this blog was all about my physical travels around the world and the US. Lately, I haven’t been able to travel because I was taking care of my daughter, so my life story is a journey of its own. In this new journey that I am traveling, I am taking care of my daughter’s dream of having a plant channel that she started on Instagram (zias_greenhouse). Before she passed, I encouraged her to join me at Clermont’s farmers market with her plants and me with my art. She started to do videos last September of how she transplanted plants and more, and a month and a half after that, we got the news that the cancer had returned. It mutated and became very aggressive.

Because of the chemotherapy and other complications, she wasn’t able to work at the spa where she worked as a massage therapist. So we encourage her to work more with her plants so we can do the market. She tried, but it was very difficult for her. Her body did not cooperate with her.

Zia’s Greenhouse is a challenge and a healing journey for me. I am learning as I go, and I am still unsure where this is leading or how long it will last. But for now, Jay (brother) and I are taking care of her plants, propagating them, and adding new ones to her collection.  I am bringing to the Clermont’s Sunday Markets a few plants to sell, besides my fine photography and mixed media art.

For those who have asked, I decided to add here some pictures with prices. Also, I need to update my art store (of my fine art and mixed media paintings) with images and prices of the things I have in hand, and a new price table for print orders. That will be posted when ready on PhotoLifeStory and Xamara Maisonet’s Page. But for now, you can visit us at the Clermont Farmers Market on Sundays.

Thank you to all who have reached out and asked about Zia’s Greenhouse.
