RV Life and Our Four-Month Trip

We have been living full-time in our RV since 2020, which will be 4 years in August. Before this trip from August 2023 to December 2023, the longest we had traveled in our RV was one month. Even though we did not travel all the time, still we lived full-time in a beautiful RV community in Florida ( we live and own our own lot). One of the reasons why we downsized from a four-bedroom 3 three-bath home was to be able to travel as much as we wanted and still be at home. The travel bug is strong in us, what else I can say.

Our little nest.
Jorge custom-made the bar and now he is working on a wooden couch to match the bar.

Our trip started on Tuesday, August 8, and after a one-night stop at Yemassee, South Carolina we made it to Twin Lakes Campground in Chocowinity, North Carolina. We stayed here four nights to be able to hang out with Jorge’s family. We had family time, and we explored a few places in Raleigh. I will cover those in the next post.

Here is a little video of my first morning at the campground walking my doggy Zowie.

This is my first post about this trip of many more, I have many casual RV travel stories to tell. Now that I am not working full time but working in my photography business, I have decided to dedicate more time to this travel blog. I started photography because of my love for travel, so I committed to myself to retake this blog and share my travel stories again along with my photography.

So, stay tuned for more stories, oh I forgot to tell you that we headed to the Northeast to see the fall season, it was pretty, it was my first time enjoying the transformation from summer to fall in the North. But, traveling with a 40ft fifth wheel in the Northeast is not easy, I have a few stories to tell about that.
