Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is one of the places that I travel the most because my mom still lives there. I must admit that sometimes I take my beautiful island for granted and don’t share much of my visits there. I think it is because I don’t feel like I am going on vacation, I just want to be with my mom. When I visit her we drive around different towns, walk outdoors, and eat… a lot. I visited my mom back in April and took pictures of my home town Guaynabo. Here are a few of them.

Also did some images with intentional camera movement (ICM), to add a few more pictures to my thesis project (“Our Time of Earth, Living the Dash; Freezing Seconds that Never Stopped”). If you do not know what my project is about here is a little bit of explanation:

“Our Time of Earth, Living the Dash; Freezing Seconds that Never Stopped” displays the representation of the movement of time in a moment in time of us humans. The project has a variety of random moments or circumstances that most people can identify with. Living the dash is that line between the day we are born and the day we die. I want to focus on the good things of our limited time on earth. The project images are colorful and uplifting, within the blur we can still see focus details that represent focusing on the good things in life regardless of the circumstances or our fleeting time on earth.

Images name from the top right moving counterclockwise: “Breaktime”, “One Way”, “College Days”, “Walking and Eating, Saving Time”.

From this group of images, my favorite is the one at the bottom right with the guy walking and eating a donut or a sandwich. This image represents well how time is moving, how we move with time, and if you want to “save” some time then you multitask, in this case, walk and eat.

“Errands”

This image above technically is not good because the building looks sideways, I was too close to the building when I took the picture. I kind of like the picture with the ICM because to me the movement gives the illusion of a strong wind “moving the building”. My heart is divided… What do you think?

Well, that is for now, remember that you can purchase any of my images through my Store Page.  Not all my images make it to my portfolio either but if you are interested in any picture just send me a message. Thank you for your support.
