Weekly Photo Challenge: Optimistic

On my new adventure as a Travel Agent I always have to come up with new ideas of how to promote my business. Last week TravelmyStories participated on a wedding show, looking for brides in need of help with their honeymoon. Every time we set up a table like this, we have to be optimistic that we will find somebody that will need our services. That our business will make somebody happy and less stressful with their new life preparations.

We are optimistic that we can help create memories, moments and travel stories that will last forever.

Weekly Photo Challenge of the Week: Gathering

This is the gathering of delicious treats for the gathering of travel agents and wedding planners. 🙂

Almost three weeks ago I was in Cancun Mexico for a conference for travel agents and wedding planners. “Love Mexico” focus on promoting Mexico as a Wedding Destination and honeymoon place. We had a fantastic time! Specially when they treat us so nicely. As you can see above all the delicious treats they have so beautifully display for us. This was on the Royalton Luxury Resort, where they had a masquerade party for us. The pictures above were the desserts.

These pictures can give you an idea the kind of wedding reception you can have. Is too bad I didn’t take pictures of the dinner. Oh my God it was so heavenly delicious!

Until then,

Cruises For Everyone!

Two weeks ago I was able to experience different types of cruises during four different cruise inspections. We visited Regent Seven Seas, from Royal Caribbean,Enchantment of the Sea, and from Carnival we visited The Valor and The Sunshine. Three of the inspections, started at looking at different staterooms, their commodities and more. Then we walk around the ship looking the different entertainment areas ending with a delicious lunch. Regent Seven Seas experience was a little different, they didn’t have any room available to show us because they were all full with clients belongings. They gave us a tour around the ship, later they gave us a presentation while they served us fancy snacks with wine and mimosa. During the presentation they show us the different kinds of rooms and the comparison prices with other cruise lines. Later they spoil us with the most wonderful lunch.

All the experiences were very nice, definitely there is market for everybody, for every budget and preferences.

Let me show you what I saw…

ROYAL CARIBBEAN ENCHANTMENT OF THE SEA

The experience was nice but I wasn’t impressed. I know that other Royal ships are much impressive that’s the enchantment.

REGENT SEVEN SEAS

Well this was another experience, in another level. The setting is more intimate, all the rooms have balconies. The ship have a combination of simplicity and luxury at the same time. The food was unbelievable delicious. They brought us different plates, small portions that leave your mouth drooling for more but then came another treat as delicious as the previous one.

You won’t burn when you sit on these ones

Another thing about Regent Seven Seas is that upfront the price is higher than other cruise lines but take a look at this…Look at everything that the price includes.

The service is outstanding, the presentation formal and informative. I like the elegance of the staff. Of course you can tell I was more impress with Regent Seven Seas but that doesn’t mean that other cruise lines are not good. Is just matter of preference. If you want to know more about any of these ships let me know. I will talk about the Carnival Ships inspection on my next post.

Until then,

The Possible Week At TPI Extravaganza

Last week it was TPI Extravaganza, a week full of training and motivation for travel agents. What that means is that our host agency Travel Planner International put together the best activities, conference and classes for us. Any person working on its own business needs to find motivation for the everyday life “impossibilities” that running a business can bring. The subject of the week was Mission Possible! So I am sure you know, that if you are new in the business the “impossibilities” that we mention earlier are even bigger. I am not only new in the business but also I have a full-time job that deprive me of time to work on my travel agent dream job.

Thanks God for this past week Mission Possible theme! It took me out of my routine, of my obstacles, of my stress and put me back on track. I know, it not only help me, that I am a rookie but it refocus those that are veterans in the matter too.

It was so good to relate with other people who are as passionate as me and with a lot more experience. I was like a sponge with a filter, absorbing all the good stuff. I met on the last night  a super nice lady , Lourie Gibbons she has been on the industry for 17 years. We talked, sat together, ate, rode the Everest together and while the night passed I stored in by bag some tips of her experiences and knowledge. I also met Mary Scanlin from Texas. She was energetic, retired and full of life. She gave great tips for marketing, branding and more. Another young lady that I met was Destiny Young, she was there with her mom and dad. There are all travel agents working as sub agents of her mom, including her. It is awesome that the whole family is involved in the business but at the same time there are all independents. I could keep mention some great people that during the week at some point or another interacted with me leaving a mark of their experiences imprinted in me.

Beside the training and classes they also treat us like royalty! We ate so much good food like if we were in a luxury cruise! We got, food for our body and for our brain with all the talented speakers and suppliers.

We ended the week with our farewell party at Animal Kingdom, and if we were not yet spoil enough, then that night it did it. They had an exclusive Lion King show for us after the park closed and we were able to ride The Everest ride all night long! How cool is that?

What an awesome week! Now time to work and make everything possible!

Thank you TPI!

Until then,

Can you Identify with a Scenario like This one?

I am passionate about travel, I love the idea of exploring a new place. I like to do it on my own, without restrictions or been attach to other people schedules. That is why two years ago when my husband and me went to Portugal for the first time, I wanted for us to have an adventure. I did all the research that I thought it was needed for us to go on our own to Lisbon, Portugal. Also I thought that because we were traveling with a budget we had to do everything ourselves, that way we could save some money. Can you identify with a scenario like this one?

Well we had a great time, I am not going to deny it. And definitely was an adventure but because we didn’t know so many things we lost so much time trying to figure out simple things. It is incredible how after so much research, once we were there still there was so much I didn’t know or was prepared for it.

Now two years later has pass, and now I am a travel agent/counselor and still I love to travel on my own schedule and I still like to explore on my own. But in my process of learning the travel industry so I can help and serve my clients better, I have been researching and study many suppliers. In that learning mode process I found Monograms. When I first saw their promotion video I almost die of laughter when I saw myself and Jorge on the video, it was like us in Lisbon, Portugal. Here it is their video…

https://youtu.be/OhcpXW8dUlE

After you see it you will understand why I laugh so much and why I think Monogram is a great choice for people like me and Jorge that have a ” Dora the Explorer Spirit” but still want to know what we are doing, we still like to have things under control and we want to use our time of our vacation wisely because is limited and precious. The best part of Monogram is that you don’t have to be attached to nobody schedule but yours only. Check out the video and then let me know if you can identify with a scenario like this?

For  more information you always can contact me!

Until then…
