Learning How to drive in Ireland

After a great week in Iceland where Gate 1 was in charge of our vacation and we just enjoyed it, we were about to start a whole different experience in Ireland. We landed at Dublin in the morning, got our rental car and with GPS in hand we were off to go to the city. The excitement started going like three times around on our first roundabout after leaving the airport. That warm up my husband to be over conscious about driving on the right seat. Once in the city it took us a few loopy loops around the area to find a parking. Although we started to feel the pain of our adventure we were excited to walk around, eat in am Irish pub and get some traditional food.

After tummies we’re full we visited our first castle of this trip, Dublin Castle. We took a tour, I highly recommend, here I learned the difference between castle and palace. Dublin castle is two in one.

We fell in love with the city, the energy and the movement of people throughout the streets. But energy was exactly what we were lacking in the afternoon. We had a long day after traveling from Iceland early in the morning. Still we were needing to drive to Limerick that was the place we were staying, so we had 2 and half more hours to go. Around 5pm we left Dublin but leaving that area was a little bit stressful because of the traffic and our tension of not taking the wrong turn because for us was completely new driving on the right seat of the car. Once we got into the highway was a sweet drive. Beautiful mountains, tower ruins everywhere, lots of green view. We got to the hotel around eight at night, we rested well and the next day we were off to go. I will tell you what we did on the next post.

Travel Partner

I am the kind of person that thinks that two is better than one. When you find that special person that you can partner with, to go shopping, to watch a movie, to talk, to live… to travel is like seen a complete picture. At least that is to me.

A partner could be a friend, a family member, or a pet. Maybe you could have different partners for different things. You might love to go walking at the park with your best friend because that way you exercises and talk at the same time, perfect package. That is your walking partner. But to travel you might want to be with the love of your life, to cherished those travel adventure together (like me :)). Or you like to travel with your sister because you understand each other or have the same interests. No matter who, the important is that you have somebody to enjoy life. We were design to be with others, we were design to partner with people, is the best way to live.
I am glad I found my partner! He is the best and the good part of it is that I like to do pretty much everything with him, specially travel :D.

Who is your travel partner?

Until then,

My Afternoon Trip to Lukas Nursery

Continuing with my search for things to do in my hometown of Central Florida I went to visit Lukas Nursery last Sunday afternoon. I have shared before with you that I am participating on butterflies surveys, but that doesn’t mean that I know butterflies. I am learning about them a little bit more now. I want to keep learning more about them, beside that I love to take pictures of them. I like to go back to the pictures and see the details of them that you can not notice when they fly by. If you pay attention and look closely them is like watching a little alien, or a beautiful monster.

I am a person of details, I think details are important to make something ordinary, unique. I like to apply that concept on everything, even when we talk about travel. The details of your travel are the ones that will make your experience unique.
Can you see the proboscis of this ⬆️ little fellow inside the flower? But it’s so little that if you don’t pay attention you won’t notice this magic event. I got some sugar juice in my finger and the little guy just jump to my finger to have a little taste. They taste by their feet!
This ⬇️ little guy is Atala and is very common in South Florida.

Let me introduced to you our Florida state butterfly:
Zebra longwing
Ok for the next butterfly I did a whole photo shoot out it! I had to follow it all over the place, of course very cautiously, to be able to take these pictures. Some of the pictures you will sense some kind of movement because it was moving a lot. It was flapping its giant wings while having a good meal.

But for a moment my little colorful friend stoped and stayed still. It spead its wings like in a perfect formation. I took advantage of
the perfect moment. The giant swallowtail is the largest butterfly in Canada and United States.
Did you notice that my butterfly “model” is missing a piece of the left bottom wing? This kind of details are the once that you can notice only when you pay attention.
To finish let’s enjoy the pretty color combination that the next two have with their close wings.

Polydamas Swallowtail ⬆️

Black Swallowtail ⬆️ These two did not want to open their wings for me…
That was pretty much my Sunday afternoon, chasing butterflies at Lukas Nursery Butterfly Encounter to take pictures of them.

Until then,

An Important Number During Our Honeymoon

We took a MSC cruise on the Mediterranean for our honeymoon. Ge got our own table(723)for our 10 days cruise and Luiza was our server all the time. At the end of our trip we loved Luiza and it was sad to say goodbye. We learned a little bit about her and why she was doing that job. She is a single mom and her mom take care of her daughter so she can provide for them. The way she talked about her daughter was so inspiring and full of emotions and sadness because of the distant between them.
When I reflect on things like this, I have to recognize how bless I am. Also makes me think more reasons for loving travel. When you travel you have the opportunity to meet amazing people, with different cultures but with the same needs that we all have.
Get inspired to travel, balance your life with amazing experiences, and find a number in your travels that will inspire a whole new story. 😉

Our Little Adventure at Little Talbot Island State Park

When we think of the word adventure we might think of an extraordinary experience that have to be plan. Maybe we think that going in an adventure is something very expensive. Sometimes you might think that you have a boring life because you don’t have time or the money to go in an adventure.

An adventure could take some many shapes and forms, all depend on you. An adventure doesn’t have to be big, or expensive or super plan. An adventure is anything that takes you out of your comfort zone, of your routine and put you in a place and position that you are doing something different. Could be for few hours only, or could be close to home… Also could be in the other side of the planet and would last 2 weeks, or more. If you ask me I would take the adventure on the other side of the world and please that last more than a month. But I can’t do that kind of adventure to often, at least no more than I want. I learned to have little adventures, weekends adventures, Saturday adventures.
Check out our little adventure in Jacksonville FL (close to home) ,during a Saturday afternoon.

Until then,
