Details of a Rainy Weekend at the Beach

When you go to the beach, specially if you are staying during a weekend, you want blue skies and a sunny warm day. You will love to have clear waters and I guess you want to be able to sunbathe a little, go to the water to cool off, maybe read a book and because every is so crispy and perfect you don’t have to worry about grey skies, wind, lightning or packing all your beach things in a few seconds because a mini storm is going to happen anytime while you are there. Right? We don’t want to deal with rain during our beach day, at least that is the way I am.

But few weekends back we had a reservation at a hotel in Belleair Beach and the weather did not cooperate at all for the perfect picture that we all want for a beach day. Instead we had grey skies all weekend and we constantly had to run back to the hotel because of rain and wind. In the short times when the rain stopped I did want I like the best… document and collect moments, beauty in simplicity.

Rainy Day; The Art Festival Look Sad

Unfortunately when it comes to weather it’s not much that we can do to control those circumstances. When the heavens cries, nothing can stop it.
I love rainy days when I am at home, it’s so cosy, that it justify the cuddling and watch movies all they long. It’s just a lazy day, the gray skies set the mood of stay home and do nothing.

I think a lot of people might feel the same way and even if there is a great activity out there waiting for them to come out, it’s better to stay home.

This is what is happening at this very moment when I am writing this blog. I decided to make an effort to support this Art Craft & Wine Festival in Altamonte FL ( in my own backyard) even though my whole apartment was screening to me… STAYYYYY HOMEEEEE!!!
Here I am at the festival, but most of the people listen to their couches, apartments and stayed home. Some brave people decided to adventure even though of the clouds and raindrops that menace them with a wet day.

I feel for all the businesses that came out today, went all the trouble to put their tents, display their work and have empty walkways with scatter people and plenty of water. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. They will be here again 10am to 5pm, so far it looks that there is only 10% chance of rain.

But for today… See it yourself.
